Big BLT by Magnus Nordlander

Traditionally a BLT is a smaller sandwich, usually made with these puny slices of bread, that wouldn't hurt a fly. I disagree with this practice. I think that any self-respecting sandwich begins with a great (and big) piece of bread. That's why I make my BLTs with ciabatta bread.
Ingredients for 1 serving
- 1 ciabatta roll, halved
- mayonnaise, home made if possible
- romaine lettuce
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 3 bacon rashers, fried crisp
- black pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
Spread the mayo onto the the two halves of the ciabatta. Add the lettuce, the bacon and the tomatos, top it off with black pepper, and restore the sandwich to its former glory by putting the two halves together.
