Grandma's Teabreads by Simon Blommegård
Ingredients for 16 pieces
- 2 1/8 cups of milk
- 6 2/3 tablespoons of linseed
- 5/8 cup of oatmeal
- 5 1/4 ounces of cottage cheese, blended
- 1 3/4 ounces of yeast
- 2 tablespoons of bread syrup
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 5 cups of wheat flour
Instructions
Boil 3dl of milk, the linseeds and the oatmeal together to a cereal.
Put the cereal in a big bowl and add the rest of the milk and the cottage cheese. Crush the yeast down in the bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough until its neat, add more wheat flour if its necessary.
Separate the dough in 16 pieces, form the pieces into balls and flatten them. Put them on a parchment paper and let them prove for about an hour.
Bake in oven (435°F) for approx. 10 minutes.
